The day that we have been preparing for finally arrived.  With all the maintenance, clean-up, and administrative tasks completed, or deemed “unimportant,’ we set sail for Mammoth Cave, Kentucky.  Though excited about what lies ahead, our departure focused on what we are leaving behind–a tremendous group of family and friends.  Thank you all for the kind words, help, and support.  And a special shout out to the BD trio for a rousing send-off.  It was great to see you on the I-75 overpass cheering us on as we passed underneath.

After an uneventful trip through North Georgia, the great state of Tennessee greeted us with several long construction delays between Chattanooga and Nashville.   But we eventually made it to:

We settled in at Diamond Caverns RV Resort (obviously utilizing the broadest definition of “resort”) in Park City, KY.  We headed out to grab a bite at El Mazatlan in Cave City and we were blessed with this “Touched By an Angel” sunset after partaking in some tasty eats.
